Friday 20th April marked the ninth annual First Time Buyer Awards, celebrating the best in affordable housing across the country. We were delighted to be sponsoring the prestigious ‘Affordable Housing Provider of the Year’, one of the ceremony’s landmark awards. Hosted by Johnnie Irwin, star of A Place in the Sun, at The Dorchester Hotel, the event recognise housebuilders, housing associations, businesses and individuals that have all gone above and beyond to help hopeful first time buyers onto the property ladder.
Housing association L&Q scooped up two awards on Friday – the room erupted as Weavers Quarter, a joint venture between L&Q and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, claimed the top prize for Best Urban Regeneration. A pioneering regeneration of the Eastern side of the Gascoigne Estate in Barking, the award winning development comprises of 221 Shared Ownership homes - the first of some 1575 new homes that will be available as part of the extensive regeneration of the estate.
Not stopping there, L&Q were also awarded Highly Commended in Best Show Home for The Quarry, an impressive eco-development breathing new life into the disused Erith Quarry.
Delighted with our client wins, the Faust team enjoyed a fabulous day – despite not winning in Macmillan’s charity raffle! A huge congratulations to all of Friday’s well-deserved winners.
