On Saturday 9th July, the Faust team set up a public family fair for over 600 residents at Barking Riverside, one of Europe’s largest regeneration schemes.
The event was officially opened by the leader of Barking and Dagenham Council, Cllr Darren Rodwell, who led everyone in an impromptu dance performance! The free, fun day out was packed with vintage and inflatable fair games, face painting and a penalty shoot-out, as well as a free Zumba class from Triangoals; the Faust girls were on hand throughout, running every aspect of the event, from publicity to crowd control and even operating the candy floss machine.
This is the first in a series of community events Faust have been appointed to create at Barking Riverside, with the aim of helping the developers engage with the local community, giving residents the chance to learn more about future plans for the area, as well as enjoy summer activities and treats provided by the local community.
